On their debut album, Twelve Ballet guide you through their newest tracks asking the age-old question: “how are you?”. With a delicate and stripped back production that makes you feel like you are in the room with them; the album is filled with blues inspired pianos and guitars, accompanied by the candour of Sam’s strongest vocals yet. Her honest and vulnerable lyrics make their way along the tracks; in a way that is almost as if she is only talking to you.
The album has been formed in the hardest year of the member’s lives; the loss of their father. Throughout the tracks, they open up about the absurdity in the way that when someone asks ‘how are you?’ all they can really say is ‘doing fine.’ - when this isn't the case at all.
The duo is made up of brother and sister; Ben and Sam Hope who reside in Far North Queensland, Australia.
The pair released their debut single last year and have since been nominated and placed at number 43 in the 4ZZZ Hot 100, opened for Amy Shark at the Cairns Festival as a part of the commonwealth games, as well as being the support act for Vera Blue’s show at The Tanks Art Centre on her Lady Powers tour.
